GPS tracking for mining and quarry fleets

GPS tracking for mines, stone quarries and crusher units: tipper and dumper trip counts between pit, crusher and railway siding, engine hours on excavators and loaders, lease-boundary geofences, night movement alerts, diesel per trip and transit-pass records.

A quarry or mine fleet earns by the trip and burns diesel by the hour. Tippers and dumpers run the same loop from the pit face to the crusher, the stockyard or the railway siding all day, excavators and loaders run engine hours that the rental bill depends on, and the mining department wants to know that every loaded vehicle stayed inside the lease and left with a transit pass. The supervisor at the weighbridge sees part of it; the owner finds out at month end.

SaralTrack counts the trips automatically with geofences on the pit, the crusher and the siding, records engine and idle hours per machine from the ignition line, raises an alert when a loaded vehicle leaves the lease boundary or moves at night, and produces the per-vehicle, per-day reports that reconcile with the weighbridge and the transit passes. Rugged devices with backup batteries are fitted on site, and the data stays complete through the network gaps of a remote pit.

What mining and quarry fleets ask us

The problems this solves

Trip counts that match the weighbridge

Geofences on the pit, the crusher and the siding count every round trip per tipper per shift. Compare with the weighbridge slips to find the missing trips.

Engine hours for machine billing and costing

Engine, moving and idle hours per excavator, loader and drill per day, from the ignition line. Rental machines are billed on the same report the owner sees.

Lease boundary and the mining department

A geofence on the lease area. A loaded vehicle crossing it, or any movement at night, raises an alert with the location. The visit report backs the transit-pass register.

Diesel in the pit

Haul trucks idle for hours in the loading queue. Idle hours per vehicle and the full-tank fuel log show the diesel going to idling and the vehicles burning more than the loop justifies.

Machines left on site overnight

Parking mode arms when a machine has been still after the shift. Movement, ignition or power cut raises a towing alert.

No network in the pit

The device stores positions when there is no signal and sends them when the vehicle climbs out, so the trips, hours and distance stay complete.

Questions about mining and quarry fleets

Call us on [PHONE] or write to [EMAIL]. We answer the same day.

Does GPS work inside an open-cast pit?

Yes. GPS reception is fine in an open pit; mobile network is the weak point, and the device stores positions until coverage returns. For deep pits a repeater or a device with a better antenna helps.

Can it count trips without a weighbridge?

Yes. Geofences on the loading point and the unloading point count the round trips per vehicle per shift; compare them with the weighbridge where you have one.

Which devices survive a quarry?

Wired trackers in a sealed IP67 enclosure with an internal battery, fitted inside the cab away from dust and vibration. We supply and fit them on site.

Can the crusher owner and the transporter both see the tippers?

Yes. Group the tippers by transporter under branches; each sees their own vehicles and the crusher owner sees all of them.
